Vestas overtaken by miles in first quarter
In the year's first three months, both Siemens Gamesa and GE announced orders for more than four times the amount secured by Vestas, whose intake was the lowest in six and a half years.
The final hours of the first quarter were as such no different than usual for Vestas. The wind turbine manufacturer is known for its sprints ahead of quarterly deadlines, and March 31 did see as many as nine new orders announced.
