Hempel acquires Australian coatings manufacturer

Hempel's plan to reach a revenue of EUR 3bn by 2025 now leads the coatings manufacturer to acquire an Australian company with 750 employees. "We have taken the first major step on our growth journey," says chief executive.

Hempel has just finalized its acquisition of Australian coatings manufacturer Wattyl as part of its growth plans for the years to come.

The acquisition has been approved by all relevant authorities in Australia and New Zealand after Hempel reached agreement to acquire the company from US-based Sherwin-Williams Company in February.
