GE keeps it going on home turf

With a project exceeding 300 MW set for establishment before year's end, the US turbine maker continues advancing on its domestic market.

In the first quarter of the year, GE was by far the market leader in the US, with installation of 1,103 MW corresponding to a share of 43 percent. In fact, this can be narrowed down to the US wind turbine manufacturer's 2.82-127 model being the market leader, seeing as the turbine type represented 25 percent of the total 2.5 GW added during the first three months.
