Vestas wins its first offshore wind contract

Iberdrola confirms the nomination of the Danish OEM's 9.5-MW turbines, thereby giving Vestas its first firm and unconditional order since reacquiring the whole wind-at-sea business from MHI.

Seven months after purchasing the remaining interest from its former offshore wind joint venture partner Mitsubishi Heavy Industries, Vestas has now secured its first firm and unconditional supply deal.
