Vestas bags Enventus order with 35-year service deal

The manufacturer will supply turbines to another two wind farms in Finland – and has secured a maintenance contract running until 2057.

Last year, authorities in wind OEM Vestas' home country of Denmark updated their estimation of a wind turbine lifespan. From a previous idea that turbines could supply power for around 25 years, the Danish Energy Agency brought a forecast based on real conditions that the average turbine could live for 35 years.
