Vestas wins Indian order

Vestas has secured on order for 101 MW in India from company Renew Power for an extension of an existing project to which the OEM has already delivered 250 MW, Vestas informs Friday morning in a press statement.
The contract entails 46 model V120-2.2 units as well as a ten-year AOM 5000 service agreement. The media release also reports that Vestas has agreed to a provide a yield-based accessibility guarantee.
"Vestas is one of the most reliable players in the wind OEM space, we hope that yield-based availability guarantee will ensure greater efficiency in operating the wind turbines and ensure that any downtime is reduced to a minimum," writes Balram Mehta, chief operating officer of Renew Power.
Delivery is set to begin in the fourth quarter of 2021, with commissioning planned to take place between December of 2021 and Q1'22, Vestas discloses.
