Structural fatigue signs halt generation at German offshore wind farm

Output from German offshore wind farm Merkur is set on standby after a routine inspection of the facility identified signs of structural fatigue on the supports under Helihoist platforms used to land service personnel and spare part on wind turbines, reports Britain's The Renewables Infrastructure Group (TRIG), which owns 25 percent of the facility, in a statement.
