Vestas doubles this year's US order intake

The Danish OEM receives this year's hitherto largest order from the US – but measured on another significant parameter, the company's historically biggest market also appears quite small.

With a new order for 145 MW, Vestas continues this summer's upward momentum. Roughly 1.4 GW has been added to the manufacturer's books so far in June, equating to 70 percent of announced incoming orders for the first five months of 2021. Although even more is expected in the coming days up to this quarter's close – a period that normally sees a surge in order announcements.
