DNV approves Samsung's floating wind tech

Samsung Heavy Industries receives approval of the design for its 9.5MW floating wind turbine from classification agency DNV.

A floating wind turbine designed for the South Korean offshore wind market has received the stamp of approval from Norwegian agency DNV, reports sector media Renews. The turbine in question is Samsung Heavy Industries' (SHI) 9.5MW Tri-Star Float model.
