Scatec Solar to pursue offshore wind

The Norwegian PV developer has doubled its power generation compared to 2020, a development the firm plans to see continue through large offshore wind projects.

Double production, double earnings. That seems to be the mantra of Norwegian company Scatec Solar, which by the end of the second quarter 2021 generated 860GWh compared to 406GWh in the corresponding period of 2020.

For the first half of 2021, the photovoltaic energy developer reports a higher EBITDA figure, NOK 1.24bn against NOK 763m in H1 2020. Though these figures only apply within what Scatec calls 'proportionate financials'.
