TPI Composites navigates supply shortage with increased revenue

Despite a challenging market situation, blade producer TPI Composites has increased its net revenue by more than 23 percent in Q2 and now ups its guidance for the year.

Regardless of logistical challenges, resource scarcity and Covid, turbine blade manufacturer TPI Composites has managed to sell for USD 85m more in the second quarter of 2021 than in the same period of 2020. Net revenue increased from USD 373.8m to USD 458.8 in Q2, which ended on June 30. Those three months saw production of 843 wind turbine sets against 788 in Q2 2020.
