RWE's green CEO resigns after split

The German power company is reorganizing its renewable energy assets into two business divisions – and says goodbye to RWE Renewables' CEO after less than two years. Lieutenants take over.

After a decade spent leading the green energy transition at some of Germany's largest power utilities, Anja-Isabel Dotzenrath will be taking a break in the coming months. Until March 1 next year, the chief executive, first of Eon and since 2019 then of RWE Renewables, will be on leave. After then, though, she will not be returning to headquarters in Essen.
