French LiDAR done mapping winds, currents at Thor offshore wind site

After having rocked among the waves of the North Sea for a year, gathering data for offshore wind farm Thor, floating LiDAR system Windsea has returned to France.

French company Akrocean, which has been handling metocean investigations into the wind, current and wave conditions near project Thor in the Danish North Sea on behalf of transmission system operator Energinet, has now completed its campaign, reports Renews.
