Obton buys PV farm as first big move into Japan

The Danish solar investor has just taken over its first solar farm in Japan, but the company has big plans for the market, expected to grow substantially in coming years.

For an approximate price of DKK 750m (EUR 100.8m), Danish renewables investor Obton has just acquired Japan's 31.6MW Shirakawa photovoltaic facility with plans for the country to become the company's third largest market within three years, reports Danish business daily Børsen.
