Jeopardized wind farm pushes Eurowind forward

The Danish project developer loses money on earlier power prices but offsets the expense by selling a wind farm that might end up being removed in the future.

Staggered financial calendars can sometimes result in equally skewed results. That Danish project developer and independent power producer Eurowind ends the quarter under expectations for fiscal 2021 in reporting a result of EUR 15m, which can largely be ascribed to low Danish electricity prices. That might seem an oddity considering today's rates, with Friday's spot price exceeding DKK 1 per kWh.
