The service business of Vestas has produced strong growth rates in recent years and with solid earnings.

Such development is expected to continue, said Vestas Executive Vice President of Service Christian Venderby at the company's capital markets day on Wednesday this week while unveiling the group's aim to double the service business' operating earnings ahead of 2030.

"We're seeing a way to double operating earnings in the service division to more than EUR 1.1bn," Venderby said.

The unit's operating result came to EUR 567m in 2020.
