European Energy plans green energy revolution at Danish fishing port

The project developer wants to supply fishing port Hanstholm with renewable fuels, making the harbor the first of its kind on the continent to achieve climate neutrality. Plans first and foremost entail establishing a PtX facility for making green hydrogen for use in e-methanol production.

At and around the Port of Hanstholm, the site of Denmark's largest fish auction, maritime history is a part of everything. In the future, however, the harbor will also be known for hosting more than the thousands of tonnes of fish caught every year in the North Sea.
