
On Feb. 23, a long-awaited step will be taken for US offshore wind. Auctioning off more than six sites in New York State and New Jersey waters – the area called New York Bight – will lay the foundation for what public authorities estimate could become 5.6-7GW offshore wind capacity.
The next phase of the US build-out will also kicked off as establishment licenses already allocated in recent years of east coast solicitations are starting to thin.
