Siemens Gamesa wins big Polish order from Equinor

The manufacturer is nominated preferred supplier by Equinor and Polenergia for two key projects for Poland’s offshore wind ambitions, MFW Bałtyk II and Bałtyk III.

Poland’s big offshore wind projects, Bałtyk II and Bałtyk III, are likely to be equipped with turbines made by Siemens Gamesa, the OEM informs along with the facilities’ developers, Equinor and Polenergia, about the German-Spanish manufacturer being nominated preferred supplier for the twin farms rated at 720MW apiece, with the hardware selection being that of the turbine maker’s forthcoming 14MW machine.
