Big German developer denies sales rumors

Business media reports WPD to be exploring a sales process due to factors including a problem-stricken offshore wind farm in Taiwanese waters. False reports and misinformation, the project developer states.

One of Europe's big project developers, German WPD, is rumored to be exploring a sale. According to domestic business media Manager Magazin, investment bank Nomura Greentech was hired last year to find a buyer for the developer's service business, Deutsche Windtechnik, also reported to have been given an extended mandate to sound the market for either a partial or full equity divestment.
