Satellite link disruption affects 5,800 European turbines

Enercon has lost remote control of turbines after interference has struck satellites Thursday morning "almost simultaneously with Russia's invasion of Ukraine". Nevertheless, the turbines remain operational.

Enercon has lost contact with upwards of 5,800 turbines with a total capacity of 11GW. Satellite links went down Thursday last week, making it impossible for the turbine maker to remotely monitor and control the affected turbines, which are located in Central Europe.
