Vestas stops new activity in Russia

The wind turbine manufacturer "emphatically condemns" Russia's invasion and the "cruelties " being committed in Ukraine. Only after the existing orders for Fortum and Gazprombank are executed will the OEM close down its factories in Russia.

Since Thursday last week, the list of companies dropping engagement in Russia has continued to grow increasingly long. Now one of the European companies that not only trades with the war-waging nation, but also has significant production in the country, adds itself to the list. Danish wind turbine manufacturer Vestas voices its opposition to the aggression with unambiguous phrasing:
