Semco Maritime has scored a deal to carry out design work for a 500MW substation, including jacket foundations, for Taiwanese offshore wind farm Formosa 4, report several media such as OffshoreWind.biz and Renews.
Swancor Renewable Energy, the company leading development of the coming facility, has nominated Semco for the job.
Work will progress in cooperation with compatriot engineering firm ISC as well as Vietnamese companies PTSC M&C and WSP.
Design work on the substations will take place both in Denmark and the east Asian island.
