Siemens Gamesa places major order with Valmont SM

With its largest single order to date, the US-owned Danish steel component manufacturer will supply rotor houses for offshore wind turbines for years to come.

Valmont SM’s new chief executive, Niels Brix, has secured the first big success of his term. The manufacturer has received its largest order to date in the form of multi-year contract to supply rotor houses for Siemens Gamesa Renewable Energy’s offshore wind turbines – an agreement worth more than DKK 1.3bn (EUR 170m).
