SSE buys Siemens Gamesa's South European renewables portfolio

The British utility acquires the turbine maker’s South European portfolio of onshore development projects for a much higher sum than expected.

British utility SSE is taking over Siemens Gamesa’s project development portfolio. Tuesday evening, the turbine maker announces the signing of an agreement by which the British company will acquire the portfolio of onshore project in development in Spain, France, Italy and Greece at a total capacity of 3.9GW and around 40 employees. This comes at a price of EUR 580m.
