Vestas invests in bioenergy fund

Copenhagen Infrastructure Partners raises EUR 375m for a new fund focused on advanced bioenergy infrastructure in Europe and North America. Aside from two Swedish funds, the money raised hails from common acquaintances, including CIP and the co-owning turbine manufacturer.

Among many other things, heavily surging prices in recent months are squeezing turbine manufacturers’ capital holdings. This much became evident when Siemens Gamesa announced debt growth of around EUR 825 since January, followed by GE’s announcement Tuesday that its renewables division was hemorrhaging money, posting a deficit of USD 434m.
