Wednesday, BP grabbed headlines after investing in renewable energy project Asian Renewable Energy Hub. The UK oil company takes over a 40.5% stake in the project, which includes plans to set up 26GW of solar and wind in Western Australia with the aim of producing 1.6 million tonnes of green hydrogen – or 9 million tonnes of green ammonia – per annum. A huge project even for an oil major.
