Siemens Gamesa preferred supplier for Polish wind farm

RWE plans to use Siemens Gamesa’s 14MW units for the Baltic II wind farm. The news comes with the announcement of a new Siemens Gamesa center, which will add 150 local jobs.

RWE has long been eyeing Siemens Gamesa for its Polish projects. Now the Germany utility goes through with its plans, formally pointing to the German turbine manufacturer as the preferred supplier for 350MW wind farm Baltic II, which will comprise of 25 units of its upcoming 14MW model, expected to enter serial production from 2024.
