OX2 applies for 5.5GW offshore wind farm in Sweden

Having submitted a permit application, the Swedish developer is taking the next step towards an offshore wind farm comprised of 370 turbines with a maximum height of 370 meters.

’Aurora’ is the Latin term for dawn. It is also the name of Swedish developer OX2’s planned offshore wind project between the islands of Gotland and Öland. The parallel is fitting given that things have started to pick up after a nearly ten-year lull in the Swedish market for offshore wind.
