Polysilicon price hits 11-year high

The price of the core material used to make solar panels has increased for the seventh consecutive week, now reaching the highest price in 11 years.

Polysilicon, a core material used to make photovoltaic modules, is now trading at an 11-year high.

In 2020, the material went for less than USD 10 per kilo against today’s price of USD 40 per kilo, reports Bloomberg News.
