RWE and SolarDuck form floating solar partnership

The German utility and the the Norwegian-Dutch solar developer join forces to ramp up floating PV in the North Sea to commercial scale.

Norwegian-Dutch SolarDuck, a floating solar developer, is now supported by a investment from German power company RWE. The capital will be used to develop a pilot project involving Solarduck building a full-scale photovoltaic farm called Merganser in the waters of the Belgian North Sea, the companies write in a press release.
