In order to prepare the ground for profitability, slower product development is needed, says Morten Buchgreitz, Group Senior Vice President of Vestas’ Global Offshore Commercial, to Danish business media Børsen.

In his view, the fast-paced technology race in the offshore wind market needs to decelerate given that the industry is poised for strong growth and scaling while at the same time finding it difficult to earn money.

”One of the things needed to achieve profitability is that our product development slows down,” says Buchgreitz to the media.
