Equinor Wind US will have a new president as of Jan. 1, 2023, with Molly Morris taking over after Siri Espedal Kindem, the Norwegian energy company states in a press release.

Morris has been with Equinor since 2008 and held a number of managerial positions at the company, such as senior vice president for Crude, Liquids and Products in Norway.

Moreover, she was among the group’s main drivers of sustainability, most recently acting as special adviser to Kindem.

”One of my main priorities has been to build a strong leadership team and to find a local successor for my position to continue shaping and guiding the development of our US renewables business,” Kindem says in the press release.

She will now take on ”a new exciting opportunity” within Equinor, which is not further specified.

Equinor’s offshore wind portfolio in the US encompasses wind farms Empire Wind 1 & 2 and Beacon Wind 1, which Equinor is developing in partnership with the UK’s BP. The projects, together at 3.3GW, are meant to supply New York State with enough electricity to power two million households.
