Siemens Gamesa nominated preferred supplier for Denmark's 1GW Thor project

RWE selects the manufacturer to supply 72 turbines for Danish offshore wind project Thor, which upon completion will be the nation’s largest. Installation is scheduled for 2026.

German power company RWE has nominated Siemens Gamesa as preferred supplier in a conditional deal to provide 72 model SG 14-236DD’ers – the OEM’s flagship model – to forthcoming Danish wind-at-sea facility Thor, both companies confirm in a statement Thursday afternoon.
