RWE Offshore Wind has struck a four-year strategic operations and maintenance jack up vessel framework agreement with Ziton, which specializes in operations and maintenance, the company reports in a press release.

Per the deal, Ziton will provide lifting and auxiliary services for RWE Offshore Wind for a minimum of 180 days per year in relation to a variety of RWE’s offshore wind ventures in the UK and the rest of Europe.

”RWE has worked with Ziton very successfully on many occasions over recent years. With our in-house capabilities and the new partnership, we will be able to improve our approach towards major component exchanges further and bring performance to the next level,” says Director Operations at RWE Offshore Wind Thomas Michel in a press release.

Ziton is similarly pleased to have inked a deal with RWE.

”The agreement is testimony to the services of our company and comes on the back of years of successful cooperation between the companies,” says Chief Executive Officer of Ziton Thorsten Jalk.

RWE is in the process of constructing the 1.4GW Sofia project in the UK, one of the largest offshore wind farms in the world.
