Vestas bags Finnish 50MW order

The order comes with a 20-year service agreement.

Vestas secures 50MW wind turbine order in Finland.

The deal is struck with Prime Capital and concerns project Lappfjärd Extension in Kristinestad, the turbine manufacturer informs on Friday.

As per the agreement, Vestas is charged with supplying, installing and commissioning eight V167-6.2-variant turbines, and the contract comes with a 20-year AOM 5000 service agreement.

The order is an expansion of the Lappfjärd project, which was completed in the fourth quarter of 2022 and features 31 similar turbines.

Commission is scheduled for the fourth quarter of 2023.
