Ambitions to propel growth in the UK prompts EDP Renewables to name its new country manager, and the choice has fallen on Carmen Caminero, a well-known face internally in the company, reports Renews.

Caminero has had stints at several independent producers in France, Spain and Norway. In the last three years, she has held various positions in EDPR, most recent as senior business development manager at the company’s Spain offices.

”The transition to clean energy is undoubtedly an important part of UK energy policies. At EDPR, we are committed to effectively implementing this transition in line with the Climate Change Act, which legally binds the UK government to reduce greenhouse gas emissions by 100% from 1990 levels (net zero) by 2050,” says Caminero.
