Greengo teams up with partner for Swedish photovoltaics

In collaboration with Norwegian Hydro Rein, Greengo Energy wants to establish two Swedish solar cell farms with combined capacity of 118MW.

Danish Greengo Energy plans to expand into the Swedish market with two new solar plants, teaming up with Norwegian Hydro Rein for the purpose, Greengo Energy writes in a press release.

The two projects will have combined capacity of 118MW and annual production of 143GWh.

”This marks our first partnership agreement in the Swedish market, where we are rapidly expanding our footprint in an effort support the Swedish transition to 100% renewable energy. With Hydro’s financial strength, experience in renewable investments and strong industrial presence in the Nordic power market we together have a great and scalable platform,” states Greengo Energy CEO Karsten Nielsen in the release.

Greengo Energy will be in charge of developing the projects, while the Norwegian partner will take the lead in regards to setup and operations.

The two companies are already collaborating on the Danish market where the ambition is to establish photovoltaics with a total capacity of 1GW. 

Greengo Energy’s current portfolio totals 19GW, divided across solar, wind and PtX projects in Northern Europe and in seven US states.
