Minister on Norwegian OSW: The subsidy scope is unknown until the auction is complete

Norway’s energy directorate estimates that it will cost NOK 40bn (USD 3.7bn) to develop the nation’s first fixed-bottom offshore wind farm. This amounts to approx. 27m per MW.

In a parliament statement, the Norwegian government requests NOK 15bn (USD 1.4bn) as a guarantee in support of offshore wind farm Sørlige Nordsjø II and suggests a maximum price of NOK 0.66 per KWh in a two-sided contract for difference (CfD).
