Vestas has received a 139MW repower order for a project owned by US Vitol in the state of Pennsylvania. The contract consists of 68 V110-2.0 MW wind turbines which are meant to replace the site’s current Senvion turbines, Vestas writes in a statement on Friday.

Additionally, the Danish turbine maker bags a 20-year AOM 5000 service agreement

”Vitol will continue to invest in renewables across the US. Across all our assets, we believe in optimizing performance through investment and improvement. We are pleased to be working with Vestas on another repowering project,” says Vitol Head of Renewable and Sustainable Energy Andrew de Pass.

Turbine deliveries will commence in the second quarter of 2024 with commissioning scheduled for the fourth quarter that year.
