Ørsted has signed an agreement with Breesea, Soundmark Wind and Sonningmay Wind to sell transmission assets to Diamond Transmission Partners Hornsea Two (DTP).

The announcement is made by Ørsted, which owns 50% of the transmission assets through the companies’ joint venture.

”The divestment takes place in accordance with the offshore transmission owner (’OFTO’) regime. In September 2022, following a competitive tender, Ofgem selected DTP as preferred bidder for the offshore transmission license for the Hornsea 2 Offshore Wind Farm,” Ørsted states in the announcement.

The transmission assets are valued at GBP 1.141bn.
