US to offer 3.7GW offshore wind in August

The country will soon open the first offshore wind tender in the Gulf of Mexico.

A new offshore wind tender will soon be opened in the US, which could result in new offshore wind farms with a total capacity of 3.7GW off the states of Louisiana and Texas, according to the Bureau of Ocean Energy Management (BOEM).
