Vårgrønn taps into Irish offshore wind

The Norwegian/Italian joint venture joins forces with Irish project developer sharing plans for 1.8 GW of offshore wind by 2030.

Irish developer Energia has attracted a partner for its offshore wind projects. The utility company has joined forces with the Norwegian/Italian joint venture Vårgrønn, consisting of Eni and Hitecvision, to develop initially the two projects North Celtic Sea and South Irish Sea, each of 900MW, the parties announce on Tuesday.
