Ambassador has to open doors for European Energy
It has long been obvious that the Baltics are a major focus area for European Energy.
In the last few weeks alone, the Danish project developer has announced a solar park in both Lithuania and Latvia. However, as is the case in so many other markets, plans for projects do not always mean that they will be built immediately. Among other things, regulatory hurdles and grid connection can be a hassle.
Now, however, the project developer has hired Hans Brask to help solve these problems. He comes from the position of Denmark’s ambassador in Lithuania, which he has held for the past four years, while in the previous four years he was ambassador in Latvia.
”Hans Brask has joined EE as senior vice president as of September 1st and will mainly work with public affairs, advocacy and commercial opportunities in the intersection between the public and private sectors across our markets and technologies. Hans Brask is therefore organizationally anchored in our country organization,” says the developer’s Head of Development Projects, Thorvald Spanggaard.
”Given Hans’ experience as ambassador in both Lithuania and Latvia, the Baltic Sea region is a natural focus area. Hans also has extensive experience with European political issues and will thus be able to strengthen our relationship with European institutions.”
The new Deputy Director General has a degree in political science from Aarhus University and has so far spent the vast majority of his career in the Danish Foreign Service.
