A company called Global Fiberglass Solution (GFS), which US-based GE had hired to recycle the manufacturer’s used turbine blades, instead left them unused in multiple locations, according to an accusation from GE, reports industry media Recharge

The media outlet cites GE’s accusation that GFS was supposed to take 5,000 turbine blades from several onshore wind farms in Iowa and Texas.

The complaint states that GE discovered that ”GFS simply stored the blades it received from GE’s customers in various locations – as well as blades from other customers – where they sat for years without GFS taking steps to reuse them,” according to Recharge.
