41-year-old Portuguese dies after work accident at Welcon

A 41-year-old man has died and two others are still in critical condition after an explosion at tower manufacturer Welcon in Svindbæk near the Danish city of Give, informs Stig Simonsen, deputy police inspector at Southeast Jutland Police, to Vejle Amts Folkeblad.

A total of four men were injured on Wednesday in a work accident at the factory, where they suffered burns.

”It is not yet clear what caused the work accident and the subsequent burning of the four people. Investigations at the site will now try to uncover this,” the police wrote in a press release on Wednesday morning.

One man - who, according to Vejle Amts Folkeblad, is 52 years old - is out of danger.

The deceased’s relatives have been notified.

Both the deceased and the two men in mortal danger are Portuguese, according to Vejle Amts Folkeblad. The persons in mortal danger are a 31-year-old and a 44-year-old man, reports the newspaper.
