Energinet considers large-scale purchase of cables

Better to live with the risk of having a little in stock than risk being stuck in a cable queue for years, says the vice president, who would like to see more competition in the heated market.

Last Friday, 50Hertz placed a remarkable order in several ways. Not only in terms of the scope, where the German system operator placed an order with Prysmian and especially NKT for 3,500 kilometers of land and submarine cable. But also because part of the firm order was for cables to the planned energy island on Bornholm.
