Siemens Energy is negotiating state guarantee of up to EUR 16bn

The discussion was spurred by a signal from the company’s major shareholder and former parent company that they no longer intend to help.

Vestas’ financially troubled German rival, Siemens Energy, is in negotiations with the German government for a state guarantee of up to EUR 16bn, Bloomberg News reports.

The news agency has spoken to anonymous sources who say that the company is seeking a two-year solution after the company’s major shareholder and former parent company, Siemens AG, has signaled that it is no longer willing to help.
