Subsea gives Norwegians a golden parting gift
Aker Solutions triples its profit to NOK half a billion in the third quarter. Without the soon-to-be-defunct subsea division, however, it would have ended with a loss.
Aker Solutions is doing surprisingly well. The Norwegian company, which has historically been categorized as an oil service company, delivered a net profit of NOK 810m (USD 72.7m) in the third quarter, which is 50% more than the same period last year. It is also well above analysts’ expectations.
