Vestas receives debut order for its largest onshore turbine

Just over a year and a half after launch, the Danish manufacturer receives its first order for a 7MW turbine. The wind farm will be operational in two years.

Vestas is busy on several fronts these days. The turbine manufacturer is both in the process of finalizing its highly anticipated quarterly report, which will be presented next week, and making strategic announcements about the competitive situation in the industry, including pleas for the right framework conditions and warnings within the industry against unsustainable development towards ever larger wind turbines.
